About Me
Ryan Fitzmartin is a New York City based filmmaker and writer. A member of the Directors Guild of America as a Second Assistant Director, Ryan also makes independent films, and has written widely about film, comics, and video games for various publications including Multiversity Comics and Eleven-ThirtyEight. Ryan recently was an artist-in-residence at Vermont Studio Center as an Emily Mason-Wolf Kahn Fellow. He lives and works in Brooklyn.
I believe the cinema is one of our principal forms of art. It is an incredibly powerful way to tell uplifitng stories that can move people to cry with joy and inspire them to reach for the stars.
